I have known Greg since we were kids.
Throughout his life he has continually demonstrated his commitment to our community. He will get my vote not because of our friendship or his honesty or his volunteer work or his successful business or his wonderful family. He will get my vote because of one very specific recent memory I have of him on the evening of July 28th, 2019.

I witnessed Greg's love of our community through his selfless acts, his bravery, and his compassion. When I encountered Greg at the Garlic Festival site on that fateful day, he was out of breath and searching for someone else to help. To me, the look on his face was not fear…It was concern, love and compassion. The need was within him to continue to help even though there was no guarantee of his own safety. For that reason, Greg has my full unwavering support to be elected as the next mayor of the City of Gilroy.
Lifelong Gilroyan
Margene Petersen
As a lifelong Gilroyan, I truly believe Greg would be a wonderful asset to our community as Mayor. He is a very honest, approachable man that listens without judgment. He is a family oriented man who puts others first.
Currently, with the help of Rebekah Children’s Services in Gilroy, Greg and his wife Lora are fostering a four year old boy who they hope to eventually adopt. Last January, Greg donated a kidney to help a person waiting on the donor list.
He was not asked to donate his kidney; he wanted to do so only to help give someone a better life. This shows his compassion for others and how he cares, whole heartedly, for other human beings! And he will definitely have my Vote for Mayor!

He has owned a successful business for many years, and you can sense his concern and appreciation for his employees. I think he could bring more focus on city of Gilroy employee morale, which will translate into a better customer service experience.

Greg has tirelessly supported various non-profit organizations, fundraisers, and advisory positions, all aimed at improving the community with no personal agendas. He is a good listener, seeks advice, and then finds solutions to problems. His business has been successful because of this same approach. The city of Gilroy would benefit greatly from Greg's business experience and passion for the community. It's time we elect a mayor who approaches the city's issues similarly.
