Greg's Community Involvement

I’m very proud of my thirty years of community service to the City of Gilroy. I’m a people person. I find it rewarding when I meet new people and learn about their accomplishments and goals and how those benefit our city.

 

The City of Gilroy greatly benefits from its numerous non-profit organizations and many Gilroy citizens who generously devote their time and/or money, and who leverage their assets and talents for our community everyday. These leaders bring us hope and joy, as well as provide services to those who otherwise may not receive them.  They do so at a fraction of the cost of what any public institution could. Our community would not be the same without them. 

 

Unfortunately, many in our community feel that productive working relationships between our City Hall and our community are disconnected. Frustrations and missed opportunities are not uncommon.  

 

Gilroy City Hall should be an incubator of ideas and experiences where our communities expectations are not only met, but exceeded.

 

As your Mayor, I will call for and lead City Hall on a path of renewed, positive working relationships and build new partnerships between local organizations and citizens for Gilroy to reach its full potential!
