I’m very proud of my 30+ years of public and community service. Whether it’s my wife, Lora, and I working on something together, participating in a project through our business or, me, independently, what I find most rewarding is meeting people and learning about their missions and goals.

Building for the Future
In 1993, after completing my degree at Cal Poly, SLO and returning from a year working abroad in Gilroy’s sister city in Japan, I started my landscape construction business.
I mowed lawns, pruned trees, blew parking lots and fixed a lot of sprinklers until I had enough money and business, to hire others. In the early years we did a variety of commercial work such as AppleBee's, Embassy Suite-Monterey Bay, multiple In & Out Burger Restaurants, municipal projects, as well large track-home developments.
